Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 75 000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.Join us as Technician/Method Engineer, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in La Pocatière, Quebec .From general instructions, designs, develops and performs complete and detailed studies of the product.

It determines the most economical and safe manufacturing methods, tools and equipment and estimates their costs.

It evaluates the conformity of the product and ensures its quality.

In addition, it defines, issues, implements and manages the documents necessary for manufacturing activities for all phases of life of theproduct.Responsbilties Provide manufacturing and assembly requirements to engineers, other method technicians and tool designer as an input to the process.

Evaluate the proposed design prior to the issuance of drawings to ensure compliance with manufacturing and assembly requirements.

As a participant in the internal design review, questions the design for manufacturability and ease of assembly.

In collaboration with the factory engineering team, defines plant layout plans, selects manufacturing technologies and defines tooling concepts.

Supports improvement initiatives such as 3P & Kaizen workshops.

Qualification Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Experience in a similar position required.

Knowledge of SAP software, an asset.

Knowledge of CAD/CAM, AutoCAD or Catia software, an asset.

Fluent in French; Intermediate English.
